Sweet Green Smoothie Recipe

If you’re looking for a great snack (or meal!) that can fill you up without weighing you down – haha – this smoothie is great. It’s easy to make, can be enjoyed at home or on the go, and packs tons of health-improving immunity-boosting nutrients into your diet…simply and deliciously!

Check out these natural nutrients that each ingredient adds:

Kale: with more than 1000% of your daily vitamin K requirements (as well as a healthy dose of vitamins A and C) kale can help safeguard your immunity and improve your skin.

Apples: with a unique polyphenol called quercetin, apples (of all shades) help to promote healthy blood and ensure proper cardiovascular functioning. With healthy doses of natural fiber, too, apples help keep you feeling satisfied with little calories and lots of essential nutrition.

Bananas: potassium-rich bananas not only improve blood health, but also promote proper digestion. This low-glycemic fruit also helps to regulate blood sugar levels, keeping you feeling full and focused for hours.

Cantaloupe: the bright orange color of cantaloupe is due to its rich stores of beta-carotene that help protect and promote eye health while safeguarding skin’s cells from oxidative damage that can result from exposure to the sun or pollutants.

Aloe Vera: with outstanding health benefits that help support the proper functioning of metabolic processes, aloe vera adds hydrating benefits for skin, as well as a variety of nutrients that work to ensure that the heart, brain, and entire digestive system are functioning at their best.

Water: simply-put, this ingredient just adds more essential hydration to your smoothie, ensuring your skin remains supple, your brain stays focused, and your energy levels stay high. Adding 1 of the 8 recommended cups of water per day to your smoothie can help you reach your water intake goals easily!

  • 1 kale leaf
  • 1 cup cantaloupe, rind and seeds removed
  • 1 small or ½ large apple, cored
  • 1 small banana, peeled and frozen
  • 2 tbsp. aloe vera juice
  • 1 cup water

  1. In a blender, combine the kale leaf, cantaloupe, apple, banana, and aloe vera.
  2. Add ½ cup of the water
  3. Blend on high while adding the remaining ½ cup of water until desired consistency is achieved. Enjoy!
